Black Ume Bag
This black, silk Kimono fabric is from the early Showa Period (1926-1950). The motif is of an ume (or plum flower). The Ume flowers comes into bloom in the midst of harsh winter in January or February prior to any other flowers, and its noble endurance was considered as the ideal that every human being need to follow. The interior fabric is also silk kimono, the frame is made of brass.
